1971 MG Midget 1275cc 2-Door Convertible

Up for sale at North Devon Classic Cars is a lovely example of the evergreen MG Midget. This example is from 1971, has the desirable 1275cc version of the A-series 4 cylinder engine, driving the rear wheels through a 4-speed gearbox.
This is a great example, being the sought-after round wheelarch (RWA) version of the Mk3 Midget. Showing a genuine 48,000 miles on the clock, it bears witness to a life lived, with some patina to the bodywork -  marks here and there, but overall it presents very well, with good paint, excellent chrome and a good quality hood fitted, with a matching tonneau. 
Inside, the Midget is in excellent condition, with retrimmed seats, red seatbelts fitted and a bank of auxiliary gauges, all of which work.
On the road the car is nimble and responsive, engaging gears smoothly, pulling nicely in all 4 and steering precisely. The brakes pull up straight and true, with 4 good tyres on the corners. 
The MG has benefitted from a full engine service, carb service with new gaskets where required, and a full tune up here at NDCC.
