SOLD! 1981 Austin Mini City 1000 2-door Manual Saloon

Now available at North Devon Classic Cars is 'Peanut', a Champagne Beige Austin Mini City first registered in October 1981 and in the same family for the last 25 years. 
 
Peanut is very original, having been well looked after by its family, who live locally to us, showing just 54,000 miles. 
 
The car is tax and MOT exempt, having been registered as historic. A full service was carried out in May 2025 and we will complete an oil service prior to sale. Other than that it wants for nothing, other than being used, as it has had very little use in the last few years, hence the sale to us.
 
We have fitted a set of period correct Minilites to the car, with new tyres all round. The original wheels are included in the sale however. 
 
On the road, Peanut is everything you want a classic mini to be - revvy, quick, a little bouncy (we have fitted new front shocks) and much bigger than you'd imagine. The radio works so you can still listen to Sara Cox! 
 
Cosmetically, Peanut is very good and highly original. The paint is original apart from the front wings, which have been repainted at some point. The paint match is better in the flesh than it looks in photos. All trim is present and correct.
