1987 Porsche 924S 2.5 Petrol Manual Coupe
A much-loved member of our fleet here at North Devon Classic Cars - the sweet spot for transaxle Porsches in terms of value and spec.
Up for sale due to a lack of use in the last year - a difficult decision but an opportunity for the next owner.
Has been owned by us personally for going on 12 years and very well looked after in that time. Not that it was neglected before we bought it, having been doted on by the previous owner, who bought the car in 2007 and spent a fortune looking after it (mainly by Addspeed in West Sussex).
It has been serviced annually by us since purchase. The clutch was replaced in 2015. The timing belt has been changed along with the water pump and thermostat, by Augment Automotive in Gloucestershire. There are also 28 stamps in the service book and a stack of invoices.
The car is in excellent condition inside and out. It has been resprayed in it's life, to a decent standard, but there are areas where the finish is not perfect. There is a small area of paint lifting on the sunroof for example. The front badge panel has been recently resprayed to a good standard.
The alloys are in good condition, with good tyres that have plenty of tread left, but are perhaps not the youngest.
Inside, everything is present and correct and works as it should, including the original Panasonic stereo (handbook included) and electric windows/sunroof.
On the road, the 924S drives as it should, pulling well through the gears and handling with exceptional balance and modernity for a near 40-year old car.
Which brings up to the other bit of good news - this car will be 40 next year and therefore tax and MOT exempt at some time after it's 40th anniversary, depending on which way the wind is blowing in Swansea on that day.
An excellent example of the desirable Porsche-engined 924S with an excellent history and now wanting for nothing except using!
MOT & service provided prior to sale.
Delivery available and part-exchange considered.
