1990 Ford Sierra 1.8 LX Manual 5-Door Hatchback

Up for sale at North Devon Classic Cars is a fantastic low mileage Sierra from 1990. Presented in Diamond White, this is a hatchback version of the 1.8 CVH 5 speed Sierra in LX trim. It is highly original and shows just 69,000 miles on the clock.
 
By 1990, the initial uncertainty surrounding the design of the Sierra had waned and we were left with one of the best mainstream cars ever produced, with over 1.2 million having been sold in the UK alone by 1995 when the last one was sold. 
 
This one has everything you need for simple modern motoring - apart from maybe power steering - original AM/FM radio cassette, electric front windows, manual sunroof, front headrests and a good heater. Nothing more, nothing less. Oh, and rear wheel drive.
 
The 1.8 CVH is still on its original Pierburg carburettor with automatic choke. A lot of these were converted to Webbers back in the day, so it is great to see one original. It starts and drives very well, with tight steering and suspension and no rattlers from the trim as you'd expect for the mileage. 
 
Inside, there is next to no wear to report, even to the driver's seat bolster. All trim is present and correct, with the original stereo still in place, again unusual. 
 
There are 12 stamps in the service book up to 2014 (66k miles) and then some invoices for more recent spend, including a belt kit. There is a full book pack with the car and spare keys. 
 
There are 4 previous owners recorded on the V5 and the car has a clean history report. We have put 12 months MOT on the car and will fit 2 new rear tyres before sale, which was the only advisory. We have also serviced the car. There is some lacquer peel to the nearside front wing and some light bubbling to the offside rear wheel arch, both of which will be corrected prior to sale.
