2003 Renault Clio RS 172 Cup Manual 3-Door Hatchback

Available now at North Devon Classic Cars is a cracking Clio 172 Cup, a Phase 2 Clio from 2003, in the desirable Cup spec and must-have Mondial Blue exterior colour.

This Clio has done 120,000 miles, has an excellent service history and some desirable upgrades to factory spec, adding to the alure of an already recognised and respected modern classic from Renault Sport.

I think the photos speak for themselves on this one, but the Cup presents very well in the flesh, with a deep shine to the paintwork, the minimum of stone chips on the bonnet and a few parking dings along the flanks. These cars are made from thin metal to keep weight down (just over a tonne!) so they are susceptible to knocks.

Inside is clean and tidy and not been modified, which is nice to see. Everything works as it should, including the original stereo and steering column controls. It has all the usual Clio practicalities, but the aircon was removed at the factory, again to save weight.

The car wears Bridgestone tyres all round, which are only a couple of years old. There are BC coil-overs all round and a K-Tec Racing cat-back exhaust fitted by a previous owner. I would describe this as fruitier than standard, but not excessively so and there is a lovely induction bark when coupled to the cold air intake.

On the road the Clio is fast and responsive, with quick steering, a direct gearchange and well-placed pedals for heal and toeing. There is the usual 172 lumpiness when cold, but it is not excessive and does improve when warm.

The service history is great, with evidence of cambelt and pulley replacement and more than £3k spent on maintenance in 2026 alone. The stainless exhaust was fitted in 2025. The BC coil-overs were fitted in 2024. There are seven stamps in the service book, a complete book pack, two keys and even a Renault Accident Record pack complete with unused disposable camera!

The car will be sold with a service. Delivery is available and part-exchange is considered.
